ShiftLogic Solutions Discuss Your Retrofit

Industrial automation services

PLC retrofits for equipment the OEM no longer supports.

Practical work for production teams that need dependable systems.

Expected outcomes

Built around uptime, visibility, and maintainability.

A path beyond unavailable OEM support

Discuss a replacement control system when the original manufacturer can no longer help with the existing one.

Keep useful equipment in service

Assess whether replacing the controls is appropriate for the condition and requirements of the existing machine.

Controls built around the application

Define the operating behavior, interfaces, and support needs before committing to the replacement scope.

Common questions

Answers before the first call.

Can you help when the original OEM no longer supports a machine?

Yes. Replacing unsupported OEM control systems is a focus of our retrofit work. We review the machine and available information to determine a suitable scope.

What control platform do you use for retrofits?

We normally replace the old control system with WAGO PLC hardware. The controller, I/O, operator interface, and connected equipment requirements are established for each project.

What information should I send about my machine?

Start with the machine make and model, current controller, facility location, the support problem, and any production scheduling constraints. Mention whether electrical drawings and the existing program are available.

Can you quote the cost and downtime before seeing the equipment?

Cost and downtime depend on the machine, I/O, interfaces, available documentation, and commissioning requirements. We need to review the application before defining those commitments.

Start with the bottleneck

Tell us about the controls you need to replace.

Share the equipment make and model, current controls, location, and what needs to change. Mention any shutdown dates and whether drawings or the current program are available.
